A banda mais bonita da cidade is an indie group from Curitiba that has something of a (happier) Belle & Sebastian. They just released a wonderful video clip that got over 1,3 million visitors on Youtube in only five days. It could be summed up as a giant jam with 27 solos. Keep watching: it gets even better towards the end.

Anita, I read a really bad criticism about the song and the band since – saying they are unkempt hippies and that this is the new “Andança”, a big hit from 1968 that was a favorite of campers in my teen days. The sort of thing you sing by the campfire, that is. He is right – so what? Yesterday was the Nerd Pride Day. Today, let’s make it Old Hippie Pride Day.
