Brazil produces around 1.2 million tons of fish a year – of those, 800,000 tons are caught by industries and fishermen, and the rest comes from aquaculture, which had a considerable growth in the last few years. According to the Ministry of Fisheries, this industry employs at least 3.5 million people. This photo gallery shows some of them in their daily work.
