1 – Boituva – This little city, 120 kilometers (75 miles) away from São Paulo, is the Mecca of Brazilian skydivers. Several companies dedicated to this sport operate locally, such as Skydive, Sky Company, Brasil Paraquedismo and Skydive thru. They share the locations at Centro Nacional de Paraquedismo (National Skydiving Center), the biggest skydiving facility in the country.

2 – Piracicaba – This big college city, 164 km (102 miles) from São Paulo, also has a big skydiving scene. You may want to contact two local companies, Atmos or Clube Albatroz de Paraquedismo.

3 – ItaparicaSkydive offers the opportunity of parachuting over this beautiful island outside of Salvador, Bahia.

4 – Rio de Janeiro – Two companies operate out of Barra da Tijuca beach: Barra Jumping and Skydive Rio.

5 - FlorianópolisVertical Speed operates in the Southern island, capital of the State of Santa Catarina. Hands down, one of the most beautiful places you will ever skydive.

6 - Serra do Cipó – A very unusual experience. Based in Conceição do Mato Dentro, in Minas Gerais, Avis Rara offers the possibility of discovering one of the richest Brazilian savannas.

7 – Manaus – Want to skydive over the Amazon? Try Aeroclube do Amazonas, right in the heart of the jungle.

For updated and detailed information, check the website of Confederação Brasileira de Paraquedismo (in Portuguese), the National Skydiving Federation. Also, try the Dropzone website’s list, which includes a few reviews in English of skydiving facilities in Brazil.

Enjoy the dive and come back to tell us how it went.
