nature Brazilian mushrooms

Seen at the Atlantic Rainforest, at Conceição do Castelo, Espírito Santo, by Tedd Santana/ Flickr

It is not very easy to find information about the Brazilian fungi, but there are estimates that indicate that there are around 9,000 species that belong to the Basidiomycetes group, that includes mushrooms. Fungi are rarely present in the national diet – but they are not that rare in the hallucinogenic menu.

Enjoy these wonderful photos found on Flickr.
