I need your feedback

In the next few weeks, I intend to change several features of this blog. It will be moving from WordPress.com to a self hosted version. I hope it will gain flexibility – wider columns, space for more content and, maybe, some ads.
I am not a computer wizard, so this process might be painful. Please, be patient. I believe I will be back to regular business soon.
I am also looking for ways to make the design friendlier and more pleasant. I would really appreciate if you could give me your feedback on these topics:
- Do you like the look of the website? Too many/few photos?
- Is it easy to read? Would you prefer a different font/letter size?
- Can you figure where the links are (or maybe they are too discreet)?
- Would you like to have more/less blank spaces?

I think you should check your/this website also on Explorer.
There your wish to have wider colums is far from accomplished.
On Firefox it’s better, but still the lay-out and colour choice isn’t much my taste. The one I liked best, was the one you tried with the header-picture of the cobblestones in the water.

Valeu, Nariz. I think this will be a long process, I will be changing details for a while.
I just checked it on Explorer and, in my computer, it looked just the same. Are you using a notebook? Maybe that is the reason. I am not sure I understood your comment about the width of the columns. You think they should be wider? Which columns, the sidebars or the main one?
I reduced a little the presence of the screaming green – let’s see if it gets a little more discreet.

I totally agree that it has to occupy more space in DB. I have already covered slavery, child labor and racism, but I hope to go further in the near future in that direction.
